Emergent Construction Technologies designed and built a state-of-the-art liquid manufacturing facility for Illes Seasonings & Flavors. Emergent used a delivery system that provided a superior plant with low operating and capital costs.
Emergent began to fast-track Illes’ new liquids plant in Carrollton, Texas on April 1 and expects a mid-October completion date. The facility has many examples of economically-balanced quality-construction components.
Illes’ facility walls/ceilings are wash-down using energy efficient insulated metal panels. Plant surfaces are designed to minimize bacteria growth. Existing flat floors were sloped using concrete polishing to meet USDA requirements. Polished floors maintain a safe walking surface and negated the need for urethane or epoxy coatings.
A walk-on ceiling located above the production floor contains all plant utilities allowing for maintenance without disrupting work. The exposed ceiling is clear of the wire drops to production equipment permitting unobstructed sanitation from below. The walk-on ceiling contains distribution panels, air loops, steam pipes with future valves, spare cable trays and water lines are in place for growth.
Emergent delivered a state-of-the-art USDA facility on time and under budget. We believe we have exceeded Illes requirements and expectations for quality, cost, and schedule.
